1. What these terms cover

They cover the My Jarvis application and this website. Installing or running it means you accept them. If you do not, do not install it.

2. Licence

My Jarvis is open source under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, modify and redistribute it, including commercially, as long as the copyright notice and the licence text travel with it. The full text is in LICENSE.

3. Acceptable use

My Jarvis can read your screen, type, click and run commands. Do not point it at systems you are not authorised to operate, and do not use it to capture other people's data without their knowledge. You are responsible for what it does on your behalf.

4. Privacy

There is no My Jarvis server, no account and no telemetry. Configuration, memories and API keys live encrypted in ~/.jarvis/ on your own machine.

Your AI provider is the exception. Whatever you send My Jarvis — text, and screenshots when vision is on — is transmitted to the provider you configured (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA or Mistral) and handled under that provider's terms and privacy policy, not these. Run a local Ollama model if you want nothing to leave your machine.

Optional integrations reach the services you connect them to: Google Calendar, Todoist, Notion, your mail provider, Home Assistant, Philips Hue. Each is off until you set it up.

5. This website

Static pages, no cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts or fonts. Nothing about your visit is stored or shared.

6. No warranty

My Jarvis is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It executes commands and controls applications, so mistakes can cost you data or work. Keep backups, use the kill switch (Ctrl + Alt + J), and do not run it unattended on anything that matters. No liability is accepted for damage, data loss or costs incurred through use — including provider API charges.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of My Jarvis, however it arises and whether or not the possibility was known — including data loss, lost work, actions the assistant takes on your behalf, and charges billed by your AI provider.

8. Trademarks and affiliation

My Jarvis is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Mistral AI, Todoist, Notion, Home Assistant, Signify or any other party named here or in the app. All trademarks remain with their owners.

9. Changes

These terms may change as the project does. The version in the repository at the time you download is the one that applies to that copy, and the date above says when this page last moved.
